Social Impact Games at MODSIM World Canada


Jason Della Rocca set to present on the social impact of video games at the MODSIM World Canada conference. The session blurb is as follows:

Video games are a core element of today’s pop-culture and are helping to shape society. While many games are created with the sole intent to entertain, there are increasing examples of more “serious” games that move beyond pure entertainment. From helping kids control their diabetes, to simulating the non-violent coup of oppressive regimes, and solving advanced protein folding problems, there are countless amazing examples of how games and game technology are being leveraged for social impact.
